Charter Members of the Hartford Alumnae Chapter - 1947

On May 14, 1947, thirteen visionary women came together to charter Hartford Alumnae, an Eastern Region Chapter.  Today our membership includes more than 100 professional women in Education, Government, Corporate America, and the nonprofit sector.

Since 1947, our chapter has been a driving force in the Greater Hartford area with a purpose to provide services and programs that enlighten, engage and educate our community on social issues that have a direct impact on the African American community. We continue to be dedicated to the mission and vision of the Sorority's Founders by contributing countless hours of public service to outreach programs that fulfill the key elements of our Five Point Programmatic Thrust.
