MAY WEEK 2026: A Celebration of Education and Excellence
📚 It's that time of year again! Every May, chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. come together to celebrate the power of education — and the Hartford Alumnae Chapter is showing up intentionally this year. ❤️
We invite YOU to join us May 11–17 for a week of public activities dedicated to uplifting higher education and honoring academic achievement. This year, we're being more purposeful than ever in our programming while still bringing the events our community loves.
*R.E.A.D. with HAC is our international program where we provide needed books and supplies to the Glory School in Ghana. You may use the Amazon Wish List below or bring NEW/VERY GENTLY USED Books; coloring/activity books; Instructional Materials; Physical Activities (i.e.. Balls without air, Jump ropes, etc.) to any of the events indicated above.
Join us for a FREE College Preparation Webinar designed to support high school students as they navigate the path to higher education!

Who Should Attend: High school students (all grades) & their support systems
This webinar will highlight what to expect during college admissions and equip students with the tools and confidence to navigate the process successfully.

Join us on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, at 6:30 pm as we visit ActUp Theater for *Roald Dahl’s Matilda Jr. the Hip Hop Musical Remix”, a vibrant production full of creativity, music, and dance. 📚🎶
ActUp Theater is a nonprofit arts organization founded and managed by Black women—one we are proud to support and celebrate.
We are especially proud to celebrate one of our own, Soror Artisena “Artie” Hill as she makes her stage debut as the unforgettable Miss Trunchbull! (As a former parent educator, she assures us she does not endorse Miss Trunchbull’s methods 😉)

The Hartford Alumnae Chapter invites you to come out and socialize with us during our Meet and Greet event!
We will be collecting items to support READ with HAC, our international program that provides books and much‑needed supplies to the Glory School in Ghana.
Everyone who brings an item will be entered for a chance to win a door prize!
This event is OPEN TO ALL. Please note that drinks and refreshments are on your own.
The Hartford Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. invites you to join us for a Heart Walk as we step out together for health and community! We're proud to partner with the Urban League of Greater Hartford and Our Piece of the Pie to encourage people of color to move their bodies and prioritize heart health.
Come walk with us, breathe fresh air, and be surrounded by community. And while you're at it — we're also collecting items to support schoolchildren in Ghana. See Amazon Wish List and Donation List under the full May Week
